As far as engineering companies go, Findlater & Sons has been building a reputation for excellence since John Findlater founded the company in 2000 with his wife, Susan. We specialise in being a plastic engineering company, and we provide our clients with high-end products. Prior to founding Findlater & Sons, John worked as a fitter in the mines and HEC, and he later joined Ludowici in the 1980s. He worked there until Ludowici left Tasmania, and then he took over the agency. In 2008, the business expanded with the addition of Tony Black who brought with him over 20-years worth of industry experience and knowledge from working for Ludowici New Zealand. Ludowici transferred Tony to Queensland to set up Ludowici Plastics Australia as their branch manager, after which he then joined John at Findlater & Sons. Today, when people think of plastic engineering, hydraulic seal suppliers, or hydraulic cylinder suppliers in Tasmania, they think of Findlater & Sons.
